I'm the writer and associate producer of the independent feature drama Around the Sun, described as “intimate and yet deliciously cerebral” by the UK Guardian, and as “very boring” by someone on Amazon. An alumnus of the Reykjavík International Film Festival Talent Lab, I’ve also made a handful of short films and videos.

I was the inaugural editorial director of the film-streaming service Fandor, and I've written about cinema and culture for publications including Esquire, Mubi Notebook, the New York Times, SF Weekly, and the Village Voice. I’ve also been a juror, program-notes writer, and screener of narrative shorts and documentary features for the San Francisco International Film Festival; an editorial advisor for American Zoetrope; and a staffer at San Francisco’s nonprofit arthouse Roxie Theater.

With support from a FilmHouse residency from SFFILM, I'm in early stages of developing a feature drama I'll direct from my own script, about the thorny friendship between actors playing Gertrude and Ophelia in a regional production of Shakespeare's Hamlet.
