I'm the writer and associate producer of the independent feature drama Around the Sun, described as “intimate and yet deliciously cerebral” by the UK Guardian, and as “very boring” by someone on Amazon. An alumnus of the Reykjavík International Film Festival Talent Lab, I’ve also written several feature films and made a handful of short films and videos.

I was the inaugural editorial director of the film-streaming service Fandor, and I've written about cinema and culture for publications including Esquire, the New York Times, SF Weekly, and the Village Voice. I've been a copywriter for Netflix, a juror for Frameline and the SFFILM Festival, an editorial advisor for American Zoetrope, and a staffer at San Francisco’s nonprofit arthouse Roxie Theater, as well as an occasional moderator of movie-related panel discussions and Q&As. Currently I'm the managing editor of publications for the 44th Mill Valley Film Festival.

With support from a FilmHouse residency from SFFILM, I'm in early stages of developing a feature film I'll direct from my own script, about the thorny friendship between actors playing Gertrude and Ophelia in a regional production of Shakespeare's Hamlet.
